Mothers Day Weekend 2021 - Kennedy Meadows

Spent the weekend up near Kennedy Meadows with a Saturday trip out to Monache, since the jeep trail is open already.  Crazy dry weather out there so it's going to be a long and risky summer.

Bronco made some odd noises on Saturday that I think I traced to the dust shield on the right front wheel.  I'll address that shortly.  Off-Road Trailer (ORT) performed well with no issues.  First time tent camping in probably 5 years and we had a good time.  Dogs were not fans of the cold nights, but everyone survived.

Left Friday after work and finalizing packing.  Got to a camp spot around 02:00.  Left for home Sunday at 13:30'ish (late due to checking on the hub on the Bronco) and made it home at 18:30.  I love having a day to recover before going back to work but this was a fun trip.

 Yup, closed it.  Next month should wrap everything up.

Nice, but...

Nice of them to pay attention and drop this half a point, but it'll be paid off next month! 

Tonka Town

After a few weeks of making sure the Bronco was roadworthy we loaded up and headed out to Tonka Town.  This place is just an interesting spot in the desert where someone started off leaving some Tonka Trucks and it has grown over the years.  Now there's everything from abandoned toys to very intricate dioramas that people have obviously put some serious time into.
